# AEO & Visibility

> The new rules of being found, when your reader is a model.

Canonical: https://promptway.com/aeo-visibility

## What this is

The reader who matters most this year may not be human. Increasingly, your audience meets your work through a model that summarized you, cited you, or skipped you entirely. AEO & Visibility is our beat for that shift: how AI assistants choose sources, how publishers and operators land inside answers, and what the new traffic graph actually looks like when ten classic blue links collapse into one paragraph.

We are not nostalgic about SEO and we are not breathless about the change. We are reporting from the middle of it. Our readers run sites, products, and publications where a 30 percent drop in organic clicks is a real budget conversation, not a panel topic.

What makes us different: we test. We watch which pages get cited inside ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity, we change one variable, we watch again. We share what moved and what did not.

## What we cover

- AEO mechanics: how answer engines select, rank, and quote sources
- Citation patterns across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI surfaces
- Schema, metadata, and structured content built for model consumption
- llms.txt experiments and other emerging publisher signals
- The shape of traffic after assistants enter the funnel
- Field reports from sites watching their referrals reshuffle

## What we don't cover

- Classic SEO link building and backlink tactics
- Technical site audits beyond the AI-readable content layer
- Generic "Google is dead" essays without evidence behind them
- Vendor pitches dressed as visibility advice
